Abdisamad "SpawN" Mohamed's Team BLUE have won the Nordic Edition of GAMERZ Season 1 after defeating Team RED on three maps.
After three weeks of action, the first edition of 'GAMERZ', an esports reality show, came to an end last night with the two teams going head-to-head for the big prize: six-month professional contracts for the winning roster.
Team BLUE, featuring Jesper "JW" Wecksell's brother Linus "Limpone" Wecksell and former partyastronauts member Sebastian "ensa" Aas, took the lead in the series with a 16-8 victory on Inferno following a near-flawless second half display, in which they limited their opponents to just one round.
The second map, Mirage, was the exact opposite as Team RED walked away with a 16-7 victory, also giving up just one round in the second half. It all went down to Cobblestone, which was a highly-contested map right until the end, with Team BLUE taking the win in overtime. Adam "WolfY" Andersson was the hero of the match as he racked up 31 kills on the last map to inspire his team to a hard-fought win.
